Rebel Smuggling (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit rebelsmuggling.com, place an order, contact us, or authorize our internal eBay listing-reconciliation tool.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Order and contact information: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, items purchased, and order history.
  • Payment information: payments are handled by Shopify and/or the payment providers offered at checkout.
  • Product and inventory information: product titles, SKUs, prices, availability, and related catalogue details from our Shopify store.
  • Website and device information: Google Analytics.
  • Support communications: information you provide when contacting us.

Shopify and eBay listing-reconciliation tool

We are developing an internal tool to compare product and inventory information in our Shopify catalogue with listings in our eBay seller account and identify catalogue/listing gaps. The tool is not currently connected to eBay, and we have not obtained eBay authorization credentials or listing information through it.

If the tool is enabled, the seller will authorize access through eBay OAuth; we do not ask for or receive the seller’s eBay password. The initial version is planned to read only the eBay listing and item information needed for comparison with Shopify product and inventory information. It is not planned to access Shopify customer or order information, or to publish or change eBay listings.

The initial pilot is designed to use a short-lived eBay access token in memory during the reconciliation session and not to save the token or retrieved eBay listing information to persistent storage. If the tool’s access, purpose, or data-handling practices change, we will update this notice before enabling those changes.

How we use information

We use information to fulfill and support orders, operate and improve our store, maintain our product catalogue and inventory, respond to requests, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations, and—when authorized—reconcile Shopify catalogue information with eBay listings.

Service providers and sharing

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate our business, such as Shopify, payment and shipping providers. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and security

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, legal and accounting requirements, or resolving disputes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Privacy choices and requests

Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, or to opt out of certain uses. To make a request, contact james@rebelsmuggling.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
